Day Drunk!
It’s Sunday at 1:00pm and we have no where else to be today. Time for a glass bottle of prosecco!!!
Yardwork!
I dread doing yard work. But, it was so sunny and gorgeous out today and we really neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeded to weed our yard and mow. We just spent 4 hours laboring and, man: it felt great! (Of course, it helped that I was listening to the Bell Biv DeVoe Pandora station the whole time - randomly awesome). Now time for shower and sushi!!!
Creedence
It’s Friday and only 5.5 more hours until the weekend officially begins. And who starts their weekend seeing Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Emerald Queen Casino tonight? »»THIS GIRL««.
It’s actually Creedence Clearwater REVISITED… which I think is the rhythm section of the original CCR and some other people that are not the Fogarty brothers. Yeah… I had to Wikipedia that. And I’m not ashamed. In any case… I’m strangely excited for a band who’s songs I probably recognize but couldn’t name one to save my life.
Donuts!
Because I’m adult with my own free will and a penchant for sweets and caffeine, I took a detour on my way to work this morning and got me a big cup of coffee and a glazed blueberry donut from Top Pot. A few things:
1. I love Top Pot.
2. I love working near/around downtown so that I can have easy access to these sorts of treats.
3. I love lamp.
Hair
So, today I got a haircut. The first in a long while. And, as always, shorter than I expected. I’m still getting used to it… touching it alot… lots of mirror time. And, I think I’ll learn to love it. But, the one thing I’ll miss are my hair clips and hair accessories. And, I wore one of my favorite hair gadgets yesterday before The Cut as a sort of farewell-until-later. My nostalgia for this clip might seem disproportionate… but this one I bought when I was walking through the Circus Circus lobby on our last Las Vegas New Year’s trip. It was $10, it has an inexplicable bejeweled red t-shirt on it, and I love it. Just looking at it yesterday reminded me of the great memories I have from Vegas/NYE and that made me smile a bunch. And I liked that.
Thai Food
Mmmmmmmmmmmm… pad thai for dinner and watching the last 2 episodes of 30 Rock on the Boxee.
Diablo III
So, Joe let me use one of the free demo cards from his Diablo III purchase and I finished the demo tonight. I was actually amazed that I was disappointed that I had no more Diablo III to play… but then Joe bought me the full version and I have, like, a gazillion hours of play to get through now. I am officially hooked. I understand. And I will see you all in 2 years.
Office Space
Has it really been 13 years since this came out?! Not to be Queen Obvious, but I watched it tonight while prepping dinner and remembered just how good that movie is!
